Motorcycle Operator Injured in Collision with Vehicle in West Hartford

West Hartford Police said the operator of a motorcycle was transported to an area hospital on Wednesday night.

A stretch of New Britain Avenue in West Hartford was closed for several hours Wednesday night while police conducted an investigation involving a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
Capt. Peter Juda said police received a report of the crash that occurred in the area of 920 New Britain Avenue at approximately 8:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, and said the motorcycle operator was injured and transported by ambulance to an area hospital. No detail about the nature of the injuries was provided, nor was the motorcycle operator identified other than as an “adult.”
New Britain Avenue was closed between Meriline Avenue and Hollywood Avenue for several hours Wednesday night while the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team was investigating at the scene. Last month there were two incidents, two days in a row, in West Hartford involving collisions between motorcycles and passenger cars. In both incidents, the motorcycle operator was injured.
