Paine’s Recycling & Rubbish Removal, Inc., which has been West Hartford’s contracted trash and recycling hauler for many years, has officially announced its merger with All American Waste, LLC, which was effective Dec. 9, 2024.

“Like Paine’s, All American Waste is a family-owned business that has serviced many municipalities in Connecticut for decades. In terms of operation, much will stay the same,” Town Manager Rick Ledwith announced to the Town Council during his Town Manager’s Report on Tuesday, March 25.

Residents should be aware of the one change – a new customer service number, which is 860-289-7850. If someone calls the number for Paine’s (860-844-3000) will roll over, but the greeting is now “All American Waste,” Ledwith said.

“We take great pride in servicing the Town of West Hartford and this merger will allow us to service the town into the future,” Michael Paine, Sr., Paine’s president, wrote in a letter to the Town of West Hartford.

“We will be able to leverage All American Waste’s infrastructure, equipment, and experienced team to streamline or enhance services and upgrade equipment in collaboration with the Town’s personnel,” added Paine.
