Over 80 community members attended the April 28th free art and music show at WeHa Brewing & Roasting Company in Elmwood, featuring photographer Brian Barnicle’s “macro series,” a collection of photographs of extremely unique and rare Petrified Wood and Serpentine Stone.
“Nature has patterns that replicate at every scale. These images have been described as aerial views of alien worlds or glimpses of nebulas in space. Those who let their mind wander will see much more than 100+ million-year-old pieces of tree and stone,” says the artist of his work.
Americana Folk Rock Legend Johnny Irion also performed at last evening’s event. Irion has played and collaborated with legends like Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Jeff Bridges and John Goodwin, Superchunk, The Jayhawks, Wilco, Glen Phillips, and Ramblin Jack Elliot.
