Police: Suspect Stole Cash, Cigarettes, and Fidget Spinners from West Hartford Convenience Store

West Hartford Police are searching for a suspect in an early morning burglary from a New Britain Avenue convenience store.

West Hartford Police said that a lone suspect appears to have pried open a door to the convenience store at the Sunoco Gas Station at 956 New Britain Ave. early Monday morning and stolen several items.

According to police, an alarm was triggered at 3:45 a.m. Monday, and when police arrived at the scene they discovered that the door had been pried open.

Cash was missing from the convenience store ‘s register, and police also said that Newport cigarettes and a case of fidget spinners appear to have been stolen.

Surveillance video shows a single suspect entering the store, but the video is not of high quality.

A State Police K9 attempted to track the suspect but the search was unsuccessful.

Police are continuing to investigate.

Police said that there have not been any other similar crimes that have taken place lately.
