Public Invited to ‘Community Conversation’ Friday in West Hartford

State Rep. Joe Verrengia will host a ‘Community Conversation,’ along with several other state legislators and candidates at the Elmwood Community Center in West Hartford.

The public is invited to meet with West Hartford legislators State Reps. Joe Verrengia and Derek Slap,  and State Sen. Beth Bye, as well as 18th District candidate Jillian Gilchrest and William Tong, a state representative from Stamford who is running for attorney general, at a “community conversation” focused on net neutrality, health care, and potential impacts of the new federal tax law.

The forum, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Elmwood Community Center, 1106 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
