‘Seussical Jr.’ to be Performed at Sedgwick Middle School in West Hartford

Sedgwick Middle School’s Drama Club will presents the musical, Seussical Jr. this on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 29-31.
The colorful, whimsical, and fun production is a culmination of the work of more than 60 dedicated Sedgwick students, both on stage and behind the scenes.
The musical, narrated by Dr. Seuss‘ beloved Cat in the Hat (Marlena Pegolo), follows the journey of Horton the Elephant (Ewan MacKinnon), as he races to save his friends on the planet of Who. His journey takes him through the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus and back again, and it is the smallest of all, JoJo, who saves the day!
Along the way, we meet Gertrude McFuzz (Allie Sullivan), Mayzie LaBird (Nina McIntyre) and a cast of favorite Seuss characters from his beloved books.
The show is being directed by Sonya Stemmer (West Hartford Teacher of the Year), with choreography by Pam Matway and musical direction by Jenna Day.
Performances begin Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
