The West Hartford Police Department announced the recent hiring of two new officers, Joseph Manzi and Meaghan Conforto.

Manzi, originally from Manchester, is a 2015 graduate of Bolton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Central Connecticut State University.

Until joining the West Hartford Police Department, he was employed by LAZ Parking as an attendant at UConn’s John Dempsey Hospital.

Conforto, also originally from Manchester, grew up in Tolland and graduated from East Catholic High School in 2017.

She enrolled at the University of New Haven, majoring in criminal justice, and until joining the West Hartford Police Department was employed by Gengras Volvo in East Hartford.

The new officers are currently attending the police academy, and will undergo field training in West Hartford once that program has been completed.
