Audio By Carbonatix
The League of Women Voters of Greater Hartford hosted a forum for West Hartford Town Council candidates in partnership with West Hartford Community Interactive. The forum was held live on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the legislative chambers of West Hartford Town Hall and recorded for future viewing on WHCi online and on their YouTube channel.
The entire forum can be viewed via the YouTube link below.
Carole Mulready, the chair of Voter Services for the League, said in her introduction that all candidates had been invited to attend the forum. Ultimately nine of the 11 candidates were in attendance. Mulready noted in her introduction that Republican candidate Mark Zydanowicz had advised prior to the beginning of the forum that he had a last-minute family emergency and was not able to attend. Republican candidate Aaron Sarwar joined the forum shortly after it began, and according to Mulready, Republican candidate Mary Fay contacted the WHCi studio after the forum began and indicated that she was not well enough to attend due to a serious case of poison ivy.
