On the evening of Dec. 7, Webster Hill Elementary School welcomed families for their reimagined Family Literacy and Math Night with a theme of “The More You Know, The More You Glow!” The rain and wind didn’t put a damper on the excitement, as over half of the students and families at Webster Hill were in attendance.
Students were treated to glow-in-the-dark themed literacy and math games in the gym, enjoyed ice cream in the cafeteria provided by Webster Hill’s generous PTO, and shopped at the Book Fair in the Library Media Center. Games included glow-in-the-dark reading and math hopscotch, scrambled sentences, and glow-in-the-dark card games.
Webster Hill’s dedicated teachers and staff facilitated a memorable evening of fun and learning for the school community. Students and families shared “glowing” feedback such as: “This was the best Reading and Math night ever!”; “I loved the cool colors”; “It was amazing”; and “Best day ever!”
