West Hartford student-athletes have continued their athletic careers at colleges and universities throughout the country, and here’s an update about what some of them have been doing.

Matt Lombardo (Hall High ’18) is a senior defender on the University of Saint Joseph men’s soccer team. … Miles Aronow (Hall High ’18) is a senior on the Wesleyan University men’s cross country team. He placed 20th overall (and third on his team) at the Little 3 Championship 6K with a time of 21:18.5 on Sept. 18. … Saige Rovero (Conard High ’21) is a first-year on the Wesleyan women’s soccer team. She registered her first collegiate goal against Middlebury on Sept. 11. She also tallied an assist against the Coast Guard Academy on Sept. 21 for the 6-0 Cardinals. … David Kavanaugh (Conard High ’19), a junior on the University of Saint Joseph men’s cross country team, was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference runner of the week on Sept. 20. According to a press release, Kavanaugh, who is the captain of the team, earned the honor by claiming his third career first-place finish and registering back-to-back victories at the Blue Jay Invitational on Sept. 17. Also at USJ, Kate Miranda (Conard High ’19) is a junior on the women’s cross country team. … Emily Remicio (Hall High ’17) is a graduate student on the University of Saint Joseph women’s soccer team. She is a defender who has played in eight games, starting four for the 6-1-1 Blue Jays. … Ian Sagers (Conard High ’19) and Jake Rocheleau (Hall High ’19) are juniors on the Roger Williams University men’s cross country team. They are both listed as two of the top seven runners on the team, according to the college’s media guide. … Elizabeth Geisler (Conard High ’20) is a sophomore on the Trinity College field hockey team. … Andres Mayuri (Conard High ’19) is a junior on the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s soccer team. Also at Eastern, Liz Lamarco (Conard High ’21) and Sinead Marie (Hall High ’19) are members of the field hockey team. Lamarco scored has scored two goals and logged an assist for the 5-1 Warriors. … Mia Schumey (Hall High ’18), a senior on the Western Connecticut State University field hockey team, scored two goals against Manhattanville on Sept. 2 en route to a 3-2 victory. She has played in all seven games for the team. … Noe Ruelas (Hall High ’21) is a freshman kicker on the UConn football team.
