During a video conference Thursday with over 70 members attending, the West Hartford Democratic Town Committee elected new leadership for the 2020-2022 term and delegates to the upcoming state conventions.
The new officers are:
- Chair – John Bailey
- Vice-Chair – Tiffani McGinnis
- Recording Secretary – Steve Derby
- Correspondence Secretary – Alexis Davidoff
- Treasurer – James Marinan
- Vice Treasurer – Kerry Boyle
Newly-elected Chair John Bailey said, “I want to acknowledge our outgoing chair, Jessica Tyburski. She was a fantastic chair who led us through the hard-fought and successful 2019 municipal cycle. We wish her all the best and thank her for her hard work over the past few years.”
“Amid the coronavirus pandemic,” Bailey continued, “it has been reassuring to see the leadership exhibited by our local and state officials, including our Town Council, Board of Education and governor. We will do everything we can to help support our public servants and our community.”
“It’s an honor to be elected vice-chair, I am ready and excited to get to work,” added Tiffani McGinnis. “We are heading toward a consequential election amid uncertain times; we are committed to electing Democratic candidates locally and throughout the country.”
