Preschool students at West Hartford Methodist Nursery School were supposed to visit the residents at Brookdale/Chatfield for a Valentine’s Day celebration on Tuesday, but it had to be canceled due to the snow.
Director Lisa Brown said fortunately they were able to reschedule for Thursday, Feb. 15, when the students headed across the street for a slightly belated Valentine’s Day visit with the seniors.
“Our preschoolers performed ‘Skidamarink-a-Dinky-Dink’ and handed out handmade valentines,” Brown said. “We then teamed up with the residents to make friendship bracelets, followed by a snack of popcorn and apple juice. It was a fun time for everyone, reminding us of the beauty of connection and kindness across generations.”
