West Hartford Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who robbed a package store at gunpoint Saturday evening.
According to Capt. Dan Moffo, two Black males entered City Line Liquor, located at 595 Prospect Avenue, at approximately 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, demanding money from the cash register.
One of the suspects displayed a black pistol during the incident, Moffo said.
Two employees were present in the store, police said. One employee was pepper-sprayed and the other was punched in the face, with both sustaining minor injuries as a result, police said, before the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police provided surveillance photos from the incident and also issued descriptions of the suspects, one of whom they said was a Black male who was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, black shoes, and a black mask.
The other suspect (pictured at top) is also described as a Black male, who was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt, black shoes, and a blue mask.
They fled the scene in a white four-door sedan that had dark wheels and tinted windows, police said.
Police are actively investigating this incident and ask that anyone who has information please contact West Hartford Police at 860-523-5203 or use the anonymous tip line 860-570-8969 or email [email protected].
