The Capitol Region Council of Governments, which includes 38 municipalities in the Hartford area, is conducting a survey and West Hartford residents are asked to participate.

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) invites the public to participate in their Regional Roadway Safety survey. You can use the interactive map and survey to pinpoint safety concerns in the Capitol Region. The purpose is to understand travel patterns and gather opinions on roadway safety. Survey participants who leave their email addresses will automatically be entered into a raffle for a $5 Dunkin or a $25 Visa gift card.

The project is funded through a USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to supplement the Regional Transportation Safety Plan. The SS4A grant program aims to strengthen local safety planning through the Safe System Approach and its Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.

CRCOG municipalities seeking future SS4A implementation grant funds are required to have an Action Plan.
