Two New Exhibits Open at West Hartford Art League

The West Hartford Art League has two new exhibits opening this Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, in their galleries at 37 Buena Vista Rd. The Art of Flowers and Elected Artists 2016 will open in the Saltbox and Clubhouse Galleries and will be on display from Jan. 31 – Feb. 28.

Flowers have been a source of inspiration for hundreds of years for artists from Cezanne, Matisse and Van Gogh, to O’Keefe and Warhol. The Art of Flowers exhibit was juried by artist Deborah Wadsworth, and was open to artists in all mediums.

Elected Artists 2016 was open to Elected Artists at the West hartford Art LeagueThese artists have had their work juried into three or more juried CT+6 exhibits, by three different jurors. CT+6 is our annual regional juried exhibit open to artists in CT, New England and New York, and is the Art League’s most competitive exhibit.

The opening reception for both exhibits will take place Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2 – 4 p.m. Both are free and open to the public.
