For the fourth year in a row, a special blood drive will be held in honor of West Hartford resident Seamus Turco.
This year’s blood drive will take place on Monday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium on the third floor.
Seamus Turco, a 20-year-old West Hartford resident and Conard High School graduate, recently completed treatment for lymphoblastic lymphoma, a blood cancer. From December 2014 to April 2017, Seamus received multiple blood transfusions as part of his treatment. Seamus, along with his twin brother Gabriel and twin friends Abby and Kate Gosselin, are hosting this blood drive to help ensure that blood is available for patients in need.
Seamus is doing great, but hosting the annual blood drive remains an important community service for him and his friends.
Appointments in advance are encouraged, and may be made online at www.redcrossblood.org, enter sponsor code TURCO, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Parking will be validated on the third floor. Thank you for your support of this special blood drive for the American Red Cross.
