The Children’s Museum is thrilled to announce the arrival of a new groundhog! Our newest resident is happy, healthy, and settling in well to her new home. We are excited to see how she grows into her role at the museum, where she’ll be engaging with visitors, participating in educational programs, and perhaps even predicting the weather!
To celebrate her arrival, we’re hosting a Naming Contest to give this special groundhog her official name. The contest will run through the week, and we invite our visitors to get involved! You can participate by casting your vote for her name on our social media channels or by stopping by the museum in person through Saturday, Feb. 1. The winning name will be announced on Groundhog Day, Sunday, Feb. 2.
We look forward to introducing our new groundhog to the community and sharing more about her story and experiences as she settles in. Stay tuned for updates, and don’t miss the chance to participate in the fun by voting for her name!
For more information or to vote in the Naming Contest, visit the Children’s Museum social media pages (Facebook or Instagram @thechildrensmuseumct) or stop by the museum at 180 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford, through Saturday, Feb. 1. The winning name will be announced on Groundhog Day, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.
