Conard Boys Soccer Beats Bristol Central in Last Home Game of Regular Season

The Conard boys hosted Bristol Central at McKee Stadium in West Hartford Friday, winning their final home game of the season 4-2.

Conard Boys Soccer defeated Bristol Central on Friday, finishing strong with a 4-2 victory in their last home game of the regular season and handing Bristol Central their third loss of the year.
Junior Anthony Catanzaro scored the first goal for Conard, just five minutes into the game, with an assist from freshman Patrick Guildner. Guildner set Catanzaro up for his second goal of the game at the 39th minute.
Six minutes into the second half, senior captain Luke Wadsworth scored on a corner kick from senior captain Colin Wright, bringing the score to 3-0 with 34 minutes left to play.
The Chieftains lead dropped to just 1, with Bristol Central scoring the following two goals.
Conard’s defense, led by senior captains Landon Lagana and Ben Tartaglia, stayed strong, refusing to give Bristol Central a chance to tie the game. At the 75th minute, Wright scored, solidifying the lead with an assist from Catanzaro, bringing the score to 4-2.
Senior goalie Aaryan Daswani’s impressive performance kept Bristol Central scoreless for the first 58 minutes of the game.
With Friday’s win, Conard’s record is now 7-6-2. They play Hall in the last game of the regular season on Monday night at 6 p.m. at Hall.
