Covenant Preparatory School will hold their Spring Festival at Hartford Athletic’s Trinity Health Stadium.

Submitted

Covenant Preparatory School is so excited to host our Spring fundraiser on Saturday, April 30 at Hartford Athletic’s Trinity Health Stadium (formerly Dillon Stadium) in Hartford.

Thanks to the generosity of Bruce Mandell and the Green & Blue Foundation, the band “Stay Tuned” who are donating their time, and the event’s title sponsors at PricewaterhouseCoopers, 100% of profits at the Spring Festival will go directly to Covenant Prep programs to support our students! With local catered food from J’s in Hartford and local Connecticut craft beer and wine stands, a live band, lawn games, face painting, caricatures, hip hop dance performances, raffles, a silent auction, and so much more – there is truly something for everyone to enjoy at the Spring Festival to benefit Covenant Prep.

The goal is to have the community gather together for a fun afternoon, so please bring friends and join the fun! Additionally, kids 10 years old and under are able to join parents/adults free of charge. Covenant Prep is thrilled to be able to gather in-person to celebrate their wonderful students, especially as the eighth graders prepare to graduate and head to high school (schools like Avon Old Farms, Loomis Chaffee, and Westminster, to name a few!) The eighth grade student council representatives will be attending the event as well. To find out more information about purchasing tickets to this first-time event at Trinity Health Stadium, please see our event website:

Covenant Preparatory School is a tuition-free school, and receives no government or religious funding, so its success relies solely on the support of the local community to receive funding. In addition to financially supporting both small and large scale fundraising events, the local community donates their time and mentorship to students. Volunteer opportunities are always available to support Covenant Prep students, families, and graduates.

The school strives to graduate young men who are academically and socially prepared for high school, inspired to lead their lives in the pursuit of excellence, model leadership and integrity, and are committed to their communities. In the past 10 years, the school has seen the model come to fruition as 11 years of graduate data show all of the ways in which all 123 Covenant Prep graduates have found success: namely, 100% of our students have graduated high school. Covenant Prep students have enrolled in 29 different private high schools and 24 different colleges, while 3 graduates have joined the Air Force and US Marine Corps. Most importantly, Covenant Prep graduates are giving back to the Hartford and Covenant Prep communities. Coming full circle, one student from the first graduating class in 2011 has joined the 2021-2022 teaching staff!

The continued success of Covenant Prep students and graduates is in large part due to the support of the greater Hartford community. Even Covenant Prep graduates never forget the way volunteers and mentors have inspired them. At a 10 year alumni reunion event for the first graduating class, one graduate had a message for Covenant Prep sponsors and volunteers: “for the change that you made in my life, for the person who I am now… I have to give back. It makes me want to do more.”
