The Stop & Shop Family Foundation recently presented a check for $175,000 to Foodshare to support Mobile Foodshare.

The Stop & Shop Family Foundation has awarded Foodshare a $175,000 Fighting Child Hunger grant that will increase access to healthy food for children who are food insecure in Greater Hartford.

Funding will support Mobile Foodshare, which provides fresh food to families in need, and Hunger Action Teams.

Arlene Putterman of the Stop & Shop Family Foundation and Ruth Maloney of Stop & Shop Supermarkets presented the check to Foodshare on April 29 at the 5th Annual Hunger Action Team Symposium in Hartford.
