Hall showed plenty of scoring ability and resilience throughout a fast-paced, back-and-forth matchup, but Southington’s late fourth-period goal ultimately decided a 10-goal contest.
The game opened with immediate action, as Southington struck first at 8:16 in the first period. Hall responded quickly, with Zachary Debin finding the back of the net at 4:09, giving the Titans an early spark and setting the tone for a competitive opening frame.

The second period was Hall’s strongest stretch of the night. No. 87 broke through at 7:47 to swing momentum back in the Titans’ favor, followed by Robert Biondi at 6:45 to extend the lead. Hall looked in control during this stretch, moving the ball well and capitalizing on offensive chances.
Southington cut into the deficit at 4:56, but Hall still carried a lead and confidence heading into the third.

What followed was a chaotic, momentum-heavy third period. Southington came out aggressively, scoring at 6:42 and again just five seconds later at 6:37 to briefly take control of the game. Hall answered right back at 5:55 when Matthew Bonner delivered a crucial goal to keep the Titans within reach. However, Southington’s Riley Doty struck again at 3:07, continuing the constant trading of goals that defined the night.

Despite the back-and-forth nature of the game, Hall never stopped responding. Their offense repeatedly found answers whenever Southington threatened to pull away, keeping the game within reach entering the final period.
In the fourth, however, Southington finally broke through with the decisive moment at 11:32, scoring what would become the game-winning goal. Hall pushed late in search of an equalizer, but Southington’s defense held firm down the stretch.

Although the result didn’t go Hall’s way, the Titans showed clear offensive depth and toughness, scoring in bunches and answering multiple momentum swings against a relentless Southington attack.
Hall, now 2-3, will travel to East Catholic on Thursday and will be back at home on Saturday to host Haddam-Killingworth at 10 a.m.
