To the Editor,

I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed 6.6% budget increase.

While I understand the need to fund essential services and support our community, a 6.6% increase places a significant burden on residents, especially during a time when many households are already managing rising costs for everyday necessities. This level of increase feels excessive and unsustainable.

I respectfully urge you to reconsider the size of this budget increase and explore more balanced alternatives. This could include identifying efficiencies, prioritizing critical spending, and looking for ways to limit the impact on taxpayers while still maintaining the quality of services our community depends on.

Our town’s strength depends on responsible financial stewardship. I encourage you to adopt a more moderate approach that reflects both the needs of the community and the financial realities faced by its residents.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
