On Wednesday June 23, the Blue Back Square courtyard area was bustling with activity, including live music, caricatures, and a visit from Spider-man and Wonder Woman.

Live music courtesy of Soul Sound Review filled the courtyard at Blue Back Square Wednesday evening, and the lively performance helped ramp up energy as dozens of people danced on the patio.

A woman making balloon animals entertained many children, while a juggling man on stilts amazed people of all ages. Spider-man and Wonder Woman surprised many children, often stopping to pose for photos. A caricature artist also sketched caricatures for those interested. Everyone seemed happy to be out enjoying the temperate summer weather.

Wednesday was the kick off to Summer in The Square, and live music performances will take place throughout the summer.

In addition, Blue Back Square’s new owners have announced that “Camp Blue Back” will offer free kids’ activities every Tuesday, from 10 a.m.-noon. Look for “princesses and pirates” to appear on the scene, along with magic, balloons, crafts, and more.

Outdoor yoga, special themed rides at CycleBar, and happy hours will all highlight Blue Back Square’s summer activities. Visit bluebacksquare.com for details, and follow on Facebook and Instagram (@bluebacksquare).
