The love continues to grow at Playhouse on Park! After several weeks of performances that have wowed audiences and critics alike, the Playhouse has extended the run of “Hair” to July 26.

With book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, their work presents itself as a rock musical teeming with timeless vitality. Original music by Galt McDermot include titillating numbers such as Aquarius, Easy to be Hard, Let the Sunshine In, and Good Morning Starshine, which have evoked memories for all who lived through the exciting time that was post mid-century America.
“…Playhouse on Park’s production has the intrinsic relevance of all fine, gripping theatre.  No matter what age, audience members will leave this show moved, and — one can hope —  in some way, changed,” said Brooks Appelbaum, of CT Critics Circle.

This version presented by the Playhouse has a unique take on the 1968 original; Zander Opper of talkinbroadway.com, “applaud[s] director Sean Harris and his marvelous company for being able to bring out these emotions so powerfully and for giving us a Hair unlike any staging that I have ever seen.”

Tickets are still available and range from $35-$45, all seats reserved. Secure your tickets today by calling the Playhouse box office at 860-523-5900 x10, or visit www.playhouseonpark.org. Playhouse on Park is located on 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT, 06119. Due to strong language, nudity, and drug use, HAIR is recommended for ages 16 and up.
