International Women’s Day: The Unite & Resist rally will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to noon on the West Hartford Town Hall front lawn near the auditorium steps.
The rally invites the public to unite against the chaos and express themselves in defending women’s rights, their bodies, and their future.
A series of speakers, including Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor, and state Reps. Jillian Gilchrest and Kate Farrar, are on the agenda. West Hartford is one of 280 rallies nationwide listed on the rally platform.
Following the speeches, participants will march from Town Hall (50 South Main Street), to Farmington Avenue, Raymond Road, Memorial Road, and back to Town Hall.
