The West Hartford Art League is 90 years old, and will be celebrating that milestone with a special event honoring dedicated supporters and raising funds for the nonprofit organization.

The “Bohemian Soiree: 90th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Clubhouse Gallery on the grounds of the West Hartford Art League’s Buena Vista Road campus. Longtime supporters Sandy Chase, Neal Freuden, and Beth Reynolds will be honored for their dedication to the arts community as part of the event.

In keeping with the 90th anniversary theme, the West Hartford Art League’s special fundraiser for the evening will include the opportunity to purchase 10-inch square works of art, generously donated by 90 artists. The pieces will be on display in the Clubhouse Gallery, and available for purchase for $90 each. The pieces can be taken home that night, straight from the exhibition wall, in support of the Art League’s “mission to foster creativity in the community,” event organizers said.

The Bohemian Soiree will be “an elegant evening with a signature cocktail, wine, passed hors d’oeuvres, and live music, setting the perfect atmosphere to celebrate nine decades of artistic excellence.” Russell’s Creative Cuisine will be catering the event.

Tickets are available online at the West Hartford Art League’s website. Questions can be directed to Executive Director Roxanne Stachelek at 860-231-8019.
