The number of hate crimes has been steadily rising in Connecticut in recent years. Learn how hate crimes are identified, reported, and investigated – and how you can play a role in preventing them.
The public is invited to join DESPP Commissioner Ronnell A. Higgins, Chief State’s Attorney Patrick J. Griffin, West Hartford Police Chief Vernon Riddick, and the members of the Hate Crimes Investigative Unit of the Connecticut State Police for a discussion about how the state and communities are responding.
The event will take place at the West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium, 50. South Main Street, on Thursday, May 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
