The West Hartford Police Officers Association (WHPOA) hosted a booth at Celebrate! West Hartford, held on the grounds of Town Hall on June 10 and 11, 2017, and accepted donations of both non-perishable food items and money on behalf of the West Hartford Food Pantry.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers and detectives, as well as cadets, volunteered to staff the booth throughout the weekend.

A total of $650, which included a $500 donation by the WHPOA, was turned over to the Town That Cares Fund and will be used to assist families in need through the West Hartford Department of Social Services.

The WHPOA expresses its thanks to all who donated.
