The West Hartford Police Department’s Community Support Unit (CSU) on Friday assisted the State Police Major Crimes Unit and the Statewide Narcotics Task Force with an investigation connected to an investigation of a homicide.

According to a news release provided by West Hartford Police Capt. Eric Rocheleau, CSU officers spotted a vehicle Friday that was wanted as part of a major crimes investigation into a homicide.

“State Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle in Hartford but the vehicle rammed several police vehicles before fleeing the area,” the release stated.

The vehicle traveled through West Hartford before continuing to flee on I-84, headed eastbound, and was later located in East Hartford.

No injuries resulted.

No further details about the case, which is continuing to be investigated by the State Police Central District Major Crimes Squad and Hartford Police, were provided.
