West Hartford Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect

West Hartford Police said the Webster Bank in Bishops Corner was robbed Friday morning.

West Hartford Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect in the robbery of the Webster Bank branch in Bishops Corner on Friday morning, and are asking for the public’s help.

According to Sgt. Amanda Martin, police were notified at 10:25 a.m. Friday of the robbery of Webster Bank at 774 North Main St. in the Bishops Corner shopping center where Big Y is located.

Police have issued a description of the suspect as a Black male, approximately 5-feet-6-inches tall. His head and face were covered with black headwear and a mask, and he wore a gray sweatshirt, white undershirt, dark pants, and sunglasses.

The suspect left the scene before police arrived, and no information was provided about how he fled or in which direction.

Police said there were no reported injuries caused by the incident.
