Fair Housing is Your Right!

An informative conversation about fair housing practices will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Elmwood Community Center in Room 29.

You will learn about your rights as a tenant, and obtain the latest information that you need regarding fair housing practices in Connecticut. This conversation is in collaboration with the Town of West Hartford Social Services Department and Ms. Rashida Rattray, Community Education and Outreach Coordinator of the Connecticut Fair Housing Center.

About Rashida Rattray

Ms. Rattray joined the center in 2020 as the Education and Outreach Coordinator. Rashida’s professional experience is rooted in foreclosure prevention and mitigation counseling as well as legal administration. In her previous work as a housing counselor, Rashida assisted over 40 families in gaining positive outcomes while going through foreclosure. She also has a strong background in community engagement that was fostered by her work for the City of Waterbury.
