Six individuals who either live or work in West Hartford will be among the “40 Under Forty” honored at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford at the 21st celebration, a “blue jeans, black tie” gala on Sept. 13, 2017.
Each year 40 young professionals from throughout the Greater Hartford area are given the award, and honored at a gala presented by the Hartford Business Journal that is attended by hundreds of other movers and shakers, offering a great networking opportunity for business leaders.
Overall, more than 800 professionals have been honored with the award.
“The ’40 Under Forty’ program recognizes young professionals who are leaders in both their careers and their communities,” Joe Zwiebel, president and publisher, Hartford Business Journal, said in a news release announcing the winners. “We congratulate this year’s honorees on their accomplishments and look forward to watching them grow in their careers and continue to positively impact our region in the years to come.”
Hartford Business Journal editor Greg Bordonaro said in his introduction to the article about the winners that these up-and-coming young professionals represent “signs of hope for the state’s and region’s future.” They were chosen from among 200 nominees.
