My fellow residents,
In this incredibly polarized era, we are in desperate need of public servants who consistently put the best interests of the community above political considerations. Leon Davidoff is the very embodiment of volunteer public service.
I had the great privilege of serving with Leon for many years in a variety of capacities, from the Town Plan & Zoning Commission to the Town Council. In each role Leon was a gentleman and consummate professional, respected by both parties, residents, business owners and Town administration alike.
Leon has particularly distinguished himself with his work on the zoning matters, often considered the most arduous and least glamorous work on the Council. Council members of all political stripes have come to rely on his eye for detail and unique ability to synthesize how applications impact our community. No matter how large or small the decision, Leon always strives to make certain that they are both in harmony with what exists and in the best interests of the community.
On a personal level, I have also watched him balance his public service with running a small business, providing love and care to his elderly mother, and being a wonderful husband to Lexie and father to Becky and Lani, both distinguished graduates of Hall High.
Leon has always brought these perspectives to the table when making decisions on the Council, kept these concerns in the forefront when making decisions at the Council table. In short, he understands the challenges we face as residents because he has lived them.
Leon Davidoff is experienced, measured, collaborative and wholly dedicated to the best interests of West Hartford. I am proud to have served alongside him, I am proud to call him my friend, and I am proud to cast my vote for him. I strongly encourage my fellow residents to support Leon and the entire Democratic team on Nov. 7.
