Crosstown West Hartford rivals Conard and Hall met for the second time this season, and with the Red Wolves defeating the Titans, 71-68.

In an intense match-up between West Hartford’s boys basketball teams, Conard High School won the second game against the season against crosstown rival Hall High School Friday night, splitting the series with by defeating the Titans on their home court, 71-68 before an energetic crowd.
It was 33-21 at halftime, with Conard junior Aidan Fox leading the scoring with 12 points.
Fox was held scoreless in the third, but Conard was ahead by 20 heading into the final frame when the Hall offense ignited and the Titans scored 36 points. The Red Wolves added another 19, holding on for the win. Fox ended the game with 16 points.
Hall junior Aiden Delaney, who had 10 points at the end of the third quarter, exploded in the fourth, adding another 17 points to end the game with 27. DaVonta Gaston had 18 points, and Eli Kramer was also in double-digits, ending the game with 14 points.
In a much lower scoring game, Hall had defeated Conard 51-46 in the teams’ first meeting this season on the Red Wolves’ court on Jan. 21.
Hall ends the regular season with a 13-7 record, and will resume play on Feb. 18 when they travel to Glastonbury for the first round of the CCC tournament, followed by the Division II state tournament which begins March 3.
Conard, 8-12 in Division I this season, did not qualify for the CCC tournament but will begin state tournament play on March 1.
