The story of cupcake-eating ‘Pinkalicious’ will come to life for young audiences in this musical at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford.

Playhouse on Park will become a lot brighter when Pinkalicious, the first production of the Theatre for Young Audiences Series this season, opens on Dec. 10!

Pinkalicious The Musical is part of the Young Audience Series at Playhouse on Park, sponsored by the Miracle League of CT. This exciting show tells the story of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes. She is diagnosed with Pinkatitis after turning pink from head to toe. But when her hue goes too far, it is up to Pinkalicious to find a way out of this situation.

This production is geared toward younger audiences – especially those pink loving enthusiasts!

Professional actors bring this fun story, based on the book by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, to life. Starring in this production are: Tori Mooney as Pinkalicious, Peej Mele as Peter, Amanda Forker as Mrs. Pinkerton, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr. as Mr. Pinkerton, and Andreanna Buccheri as Dr. / Alison. 

Additionally, The Miracle League of CT is partnering Playhouse on Park in presenting two special sensory-friendly performances of Pinkalicious on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m., and Monday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. All tickets will be specially priced at $5 for these performances only, all seats reserved.

The Miracle League of CT offers opportunities for children with sensory issues and other special needs to enjoy educational and cultural activities. The Miracle League of CT is, additionally, the official and Primary Sponsor for Playhouse on Park’s 2016-2017 Young Audience Series.

To celebrate this upcoming production, The Tea Round is hosting a proper Pinkalicious tea party at Playhouse on Park on Nov. 26 and 27! Guests will participate in an authentic afternoon tea experience, complete with festive linens, teacups and matching saucers.

There are four seatings for this unique experience: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday the 26th, and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday the 27th. Tickets are $25 per person. This event is a fundraiser, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Playhouse on Park, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This event is sponsored by The Tea Round, LLC.

Pinkalicious The Musical runs from Dec. 10-18. Show times are Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and  2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $16-$18 each, all seats reserved.
