A public launch party will be held for “Stories Sell: Storyworthy Strategies to Grow Your Business and Brand,” the latest book by Matthew Dicks. The book landed in stores on June 11. It will be celebrated with a Speak Up storytelling Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, formerly the Connecticut Historical Society, at 7 p.m.
The evening will feature stories, prizes, and fun. Matthew will share stories from a dozen years spent consulting and storytelling in the corporate and business world – a behind-the-scenes peek at the brilliance, lunacy, and ridiculous moments he has spent helping people tell better stories – everyone from Fortune 100 businesses to the FBI, Santa Clauses, Olympic gold medalists, clergy members, attorneys, magicians, wildlife photographers, therapists, comedians, and the Mohawk Nation of Canada.
A night of storytelling like no other!
He’ll also be interviewed by a special guest, take questions from the audience, give away fabulous prizes including lots of books, and even teach a few storytelling strategies along the way.
Ticket price includes:
- Entry to the show!
- Snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks!
- A chance to win some fabulous prizes!
All proceeds will go to supporting the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. Tickets are $15 general admission, and $34.95 includes admission for one and a copy of “Stories Sell.” Tickets are available online here.
