‘Restaurant Row’ – the block of four restaurants along West Hartford’s park Road – will hold a happy hour on Sept. 25, and will also host ‘parade watch’ festivities during the Oct. 5, 2024 Park Road Parade.

When the 25th and final Park Road Parade kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10:30 a.m., Park Road’s “Restaurant Row” will provide parade spectators with a comfortable place to watch the parade and plenty of food and drink options and specials.

Located at 132-140 Park Road, Restaurant Row is home to Smoke Public House, Plan B Burger Bar, 1001 Mexican Restaurant, and Portobello Restaurant. There is no admission charge for the festivities, which will continue throughout the day and after the parade.

Restaurant Row will also host a Happy Hour on Wednesday, Sept. 25 beginning at 5 p.m., to help promote the 25th and final Park Road Parade on Oct. 5. Again, there is no admission charge to the Sept. 25 festivities and the celebration will include live music and drink and food specials.

After much thought and consideration, parade organizers have decided this year’s parade will be the last. Going forward, the Park Road Association will focus its time and energy on multiple events throughout the year designed to celebrate the Park Road community and promote our neighborhood’s businesses.

Organizers are hard at work to ensure this year’s grand finale parade will be as special and memorable as the first. The 2024 Park Road is dedicated to Rob Rowlson, one of the parade’s founders, who sadly passed away in 2022. Local radio and community service icon Renée DiNino will be grand marshal, and all past parade grand marshals will be invited to participate.
