Two Exhibits Open November 17 at West Hartford Art League

The West Hartford Art League will open its ‘Small Works’ holiday sale the evening of Nov. 17, and earlier in the day the faculty exhibit will open.

The West Hartford Art League will be holding its annual “Small Works” Holiday Sale in its Saltbox Gallery Nov. 17 through Dec. 18.  All work is 12 inches or smaller and priced for holiday giving at $175 or less.

Work by over 40 local artists, working in all mediums, will be for sale at the opening Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. The public is invited to join the West Hartford Art League for refreshments and holiday cheer. Beverages and sweets will be served, accompanied by live music by David Zucker to enjoy while browsing original work by local artists. The event is free and open to the public.

The Saltbox Gallery is located at 37 Buena Vista Road in West Hartford. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from 1-4 p.m., except on opening day which will be 6-8 pm. More information can be found online at westhartfordart.org or by calling 860-231-8019.

Also opening on Nov. 17 will be an exhibit of work by West Hartford Art League faculty in the Clubhouse Gallery. That exhibit will be on display through Dec. 18.
